OUR PROCESS
Design itself is a process. We start each project by carefully interpreting your needs and aspirations so that we can set clear objectives for it. Following this, we present a design concept using inspirational images and illustrations, as well as proposals for any structural changes. If required, applications for planning permissions are submitted and the scope of the project, budget and time schedule are set and agreed.
Once we hone in on a concept direction you feel works best for you, we progress to design development. At this stage, we present layout drawings, moodboards and visuals conveying our vision of the complete interiors scheme and flow of the space. Our designs are then refined, adapted and discussed thoroughly with our client. Following approval of the design, we progress with the detailed specification of every element, including finishes, furniture, joinery, kitchen, bathrooms, lighting, audio-visual and accessories.
Before construction can commence, we prepare information for pricing and assist with the tender process for building works. During construction, Birch House coordinates the project and monitors works, ensuring suppliers deliver on time and on budget whilst meeting our exacting standards.
Concurrently with the construction phase, Birch House liaises with all the artisans and suppliers involved in the project. We negotiate and purchase on your behalf, and manage every administrative aspect of the procurement process. Where required, Birch House works closely with independent art curators and can source intriguing artwork collections taking into account any existing pieces you may have.
Finally, we focus on dressing and accessorising before handing over your impeccable home for you to enjoy.
